They recommended that we use something like Parallels if we have a mac which they offer at a 50% discount ($39.99). I'm going to start college next year they've said that there are some windows specific engineering software that we will be using in class. Windows 32 bit or 64 bit for mac parallels vs boot. Bootcamp will be optimised for one specific Windows version, depending on your Mac model & OS. Not worth doing you'd be fighting a license limitation but there are no legitimate ready-made OS X VMs that run natively in Windows.
